AR/TENSCHUTZ – COLOGNE ZOO
For the AR/TENSCHUTZ campaign of Kölner Zoo, we teamed with our partner Snapchat to develop the design of the campaign based on Snapchat’s strategic approach. With this cooperation, Snapchat and Kölner Zoo want to draw attention to the worldwide extinction of species. The question: “Is Augmented Reality the zoo of the future?
Under the motto “AR/tenschutz – real and digital” Snapchat is developing augmented reality lenses for the Kölner Zoo, which are intended to make the problem tangible for visitors on their own smartphones. Three endangered animal species, the Philippine crocodile, the Amur tiger and the Asian elephant are brought to life virtually in the zoo in empty enclosures by the technology, it says. We develop the key visuals, posters and signs as well as the technical markers for the AR-Experience. We also accompany the campaign on film throughout the entire implementation. The campaign was awarded several times in 2020.
